Dirty bomb threats target NFL stadiums

CNN is currently reporting dirty bomb threats targeting specific NFL stadiums.

Law enforcement agencies and the Department of Homeland Security indicate that there is no reason to believe the threats are credible, but add that they are alerting the stadiums involved.

The threats are reported to have surfaced on a website called "The Friend Society" in a post called "New Attacks on America: Be Afraid."

The plot allegedly involved detonating seven of the devices outside of NFL stadiums – including venues located in Miami, New York, Atlanta, Houston, Oakland and Seattle. The weapons were reported to be delivered by truck.

A Google cache of the page does not include mention of the plot.
