Bandits gun down Mexican official Press
TV Bandits have killed police Administrative Director Silvia Molina outside her house in the restive Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez. The assassination is regarded as the latest high-profile killing in Mexico drug war, police said following the killing of Silvia Molina on Monday night by suspected drug hitmen, Reuters reported Wednesday. "She was shot 10 times as she was parking her car," a police spokesman said.
(Article continues below) A message was found over Molina's body signed by suspected hitmen who said they were working for Mexico's most wanted man, Joaquin "Shorty" Guzman. Molina's administrative team resigned on Tuesday in protest at her murder. More than 1,400 people have been killed in drug violence across Mexico since the beginning of the year.
