Concerned about actions on an Islamic website, the Department of Homeland Security issued a warning about webcams today, MSNBC reported.

"This is an advisory to local government and also to the private sector to be a little more aware of what's on webcams that might be trained on their facilities," MSNBC reported. "The FBI and Homeland Security put this out after an Islamic Radical website posted a link to an airport webcam and said 'look, you can spy on the US.'"

The report continued, "Now, we believe the airport webcam was not a big city airport, like a regional airport in Washington DC or Maryland."

"The airport told us today that there are no longer any webcams available to the public at their airport," MSNBC added.

The cable news network noted that most probably not every webcam would be considered a "threat."

MSNBC added, "Now this advisory. I think, in very common sense terms says 'not every webcam is a potential treasure trove of information for terrorists.'"

Many webcams just show "broad shots of city skylines," MSNBC noted.
