The Blimp Is Up

Moving right ahead, although a little off schedule, the Ron Paul blimp launched early Friday morning from the Airship Management Hanger in Elizabeth City, N.C.

The blimp is emblazoned on one side with “Who is Ron Paul? Google Ron Paul.” The other side reads “Ron Paul Revolution.”

The Ron Paul blimp was originally scheduled to launch from North Carolina earlier this week and arrive in Boston on Sunday in time to commemorate the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. But like anything and everyone else flying this week, it encountered weather delays.

The Caucus was able to reach Trevor Lyman, president of Liberty Political Advertising (the organization responsible for sponsoring the blimp), in midair while he was still low enough to get cellphone reception. Mr. Lyman proudly proclaimed, “Ron Paul’s message has successfully soared thanks to the tremendous grassroots effort of Paul supporters.”

While blimps are filled with helium for lift, this one will be receiving an additional boost as long as the “purchases” keep coming.
