Fascist State Eats Israelis Alive

Kurt Nimmo | August 28 2006

It appears Israel may soon experience a wave of emigration out of the country, due primarily to insane military policies. “Defense officials are seeking NIS 30 billion, mostly in fiscal 2007 and 2008, for resupplying, reacquiring weapons systems damaged during the war and preparing for the next war based on the lessons of recent hostilities, including developing new arms. The defense establishment is working under the assumption the Israel Defense Forces needs to be prepared quickly,” reports Haaretz. “However, according to a senior defense establishment official, cabinet compliance to the demand would subjugate the entire civilian establishment to military demands and constitute a mortal blow to civil budgets, including infrastructure and education.”

Laurence W. Britt, writing for Free Inquiry magazine, Volume 23, Number 2, benchmarks the dominant traits of fascism, emblematic of “Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, Franco’s Spain, Salazar’s Portugal, Papadopoulos’s Greece, Pinochet’s Chile, and Suharto’s Indonesia.” Number 4 on Britt’s list is the “supremacy of the military/avid militarism. Ruling elites always identified closely with the military and the industrial infrastructure that supported it. A disproportionate share of national resources was allocated to the military, even when domestic needs were acute. The military was seen as an expression of nationalism, and was used whenever possible to assert national goals, intimidate other nations, and increase the power and prestige of the ruling elite.”

Hugo Chávez was spot on when he decried Israel’s attack on Lebanon and, more specifically, the Palestinians as “terrorism and fascism.” On Friday, Chávez declared “Israeli leaders should face a genocide trial after their forces killed more than 1,100 Lebanese, most of them civilians, in the month-long military pounding of Lebanon,” reports Reuters (as we know, however, the dead of Lebanon, buried under their high-rise apartments, will eventually number far more than 1,100). “”I believe that a genocide has occurred (in Lebanon) and that those in Israel who are responsible should be taken to international tribunals for this genocide…. Israel criticizes Hitler a lot and we do too. But they have done something similar or, perhaps worse, who knows, than what the Nazis did…. This is fascism.”

In 1948, as the Israeli state was declared by the Zionists with the backing of the United Nations, Albert Einstein wrote a letter to the New York Times, warning that Tnuat Haherut, an Israeli “political party closely akin in its organization, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties,” and its leader, Menachem Begin, who would later lead the small nation, represented a “manifestation of fascism.” According to Einstein, Tnuat Haherut, later to become Likud,

preached an admixture of ultranationalism, religious mysticism, and racial superiority. Like other Fascist parties they have been used to break strikes, and have themselves pressed for the destruction of free trade unions. In their stead they have proposed corporate unions on the Italian Fascist model. During the last years of sporadic anti-British violence, the IZL [the terrorist group Irgun Zvai Leumi] and Stern groups inaugurated a reign of terror in the Palestine Jewish community. Teachers were beaten up for speaking against them, adults were shot for not letting their children join them. By gangster methods, beatings, window-smashing, and wide-spread robberies, the terrorists intimidated the population and exacted a heavy tribute.

All fascist regimes, including the unitary decider version here in the United States, eventually victimize the people en masse. Israelis of means may emigrate, leaving behind the poor who have no choice. In America, likewise may eventually happen, as the state grows more and more fascist. However, for those of us of small means, there is no chance at emigration, even if there was a decent country of refuge. In other words, we have no choice but to stay here and fight, regardless of what that means. In Nazi Germany, for the White Rose movement, it meant certain death. It may mean the same here soon enough, as fascists always deal in deadly fashion with their enemies.
